Use the Gale in Context Database to find the culture and location of your civilizations.
Start by searching the culture: (Maya, Yoruba etc.). Start with Reference/Encyclopedia results when available to establish background. Add the research need: Maya creation, Yoruba religion, Japanese mythology etc. Use names discovered in the first article: a deity, hero, sacred text, or particular story to learn more about your civilizations and their mythological beliefs.
Gale provides ready-made citations at the end of each information source that you can copy and paste into your bibliography.
